Greetings:

My name is Ken Caruso, my ham callsign is KS4NX. I have been a ham for 10 years and enjoy the hobby tremendously. I work in Information Technology and electronics engineering, hold a FCC commercial license, and am an ARRL Technical Specialist.

I am especially proud to assist the Birmingham Amateur Radio Club (BARC) with its ongoing Amateur Radio classes. These are available to anyone interested in becoming a Ham by obtaining their first license, or to current licensees wishing to upgrade. When in session, classes are held on Tuesdays starting at 7:00pm and running until 9:00pm. Presentations for all three FCC Amateur license levels (Technician, General and Extra) are offered on a rotating 12 week schedule.

ARRL manuals for all classes may be purchased at a discount, or borrowed from BARC. (Deposit required) You are also welcome to bring manuals you may already have.

Members and non-members are welcome
'Elmering' included at no additional charge

Already licensed? Able to share your excitement about the Amateur service? Volunteer instructors are always welcome!

Feel free to arrive up to half an hour early and operate W4CUE, BARC's well-equipped HF/VHF/UHF all-mode club station.
